22kg Mine Track
22 kg rail (nominal 22.3 kg/m) — a light-duty rail designed for low-to-medium loads and low-speed applications. We keep 3,000 tonnes in stock for rapid supply and on-demand cutting. Orders can be dispatched within 48 hours, subject to destination transport conditions.
Specifications & Materials
Nominal weight: 22 kg (nominal 22.3 kg/m).
Section dimensions: height 93.66 mm; base width 93.66 mm; head width 50.80 mm; web thickness 10.72 mm — balancing light weight and load capacity.
Length: standard 6–12 m; custom lengths available up to 24 m (transport and handling should be confirmed for longer lengths).
Material options
Q235B: a low-carbon structural steel with a yield strength around 235 MPa. Good weldability and toughness make it suitable for light-duty, temporary tracks, and in-plant layouts where on-site welding and modifications are common.
55Q: a medium-carbon wear-resistant steel with yield strength ≥ 355 MPa. It offers superior impact and wear resistance, well-suited for harsher environments such as underground mines and heavy short-haul operations.
Stock & Delivery Capability
On-hand inventory: 3,000 tonnes covering Q235B and 55Q grades and 6–12 m standard lengths to ensure quick response for urgent projects.
Processing & distribution: on-demand cutting, drilling and small-batch custom lengths available. With our logistics setup, orders are typically dispatched within 60 hours, subject to destination restrictions.
Stock quality management: regular inventory turnover and inspections. Rails are protected with oil coating or wrapped packaging to prevent rust, with typical surface protection lasting 90+ days under standard storage conditions.

Typical Applications
Mining
Underground haulage: fits small-to-medium mine cars (axle load ≤ 8 tonnes) for coal, iron ore and other underground material transport. 55Q is recommended for its better impact and wear resistance, especially in damp, dusty or corrosive underground environments.
Open-pit short-haul lines: connects extraction points to sorting yards and handles bulk runs of crushed stone and ore. Rails can be rapidly laid in loops or straight runs for flexible short-term operations, reducing handling and turnaround times.
Processing plant internals: for material flow between processing equipment and storage areas inside concentrators. Q235B is easy to weld and modify on-site, making it ideal for plant layout flexibility; use 55Q locally where higher wear resistance is needed.
Industrial & Manufacturing
Automation tracks: for AGVs, automated transfer equipment and assembly lines. Rail gauge accuracy can be held to ±2 mm to ensure smooth vehicle operation.
Warehouse logistics: for pallet / trolley transfer lines, mezzanine conveyors and in-plant material movement. Q235B’s lighter weight reduces floor load where needed.
Light overhead/bridge cranes: suitable for light-duty cranes (5–10 tonnes). Use 55Q for critical running surfaces to extend wheel and rail life.
Temporary Works & Emergency
Construction temporary tracks: for material handling during subway, bridge or municipal works — easy to install, remove and reuse.
Disaster relief corridors: quick-deploy temporary lines for transporting supplies during floods, earthquakes or other emergencies. Our 3,000-tonne stock enables rapid allocation for relief efforts.
Repair bypass lines: temporary diversion tracks for railway/highway repairs or municipal utility upgrades.
Key Performance Features
Mechanical properties: Q235B suits light dynamic loads and resists brittle failure. 55Q provides higher tensile and impact resistance and substantially improved wear resistance (roughly 30%–50% better than typical low-carbon steels, depending on operating conditions and heat treatment).
Manufacturing benefits: hot-rolled for a smooth finish; select rails undergo normalizing to refine grain structure and improve mechanical performance and fatigue life.
Cost efficiency: significantly lower cost than 60 kg/m heavy-duty rails (approximately 40%–60% less), with simpler installation and maintenance — ideal for budget-sensitive or temporary projects.
Production & Quality Control
Process flow: steel billet → hot rolling → cut to length → straightening → surface protection (oil coating / wrap) → inspection & storage.
Protection & storage: oiling or wrapping provides surface protection, typically effective for 90+ days in standard warehouse conditions (environmental factors will affect duration).
Testing & standards: visual inspection (no surface defects), dimensional tolerance ±0.5 mm; mechanical property testing (yield / tensile) and non-destructive testing (NDT) performed at 100% coverage. Products conform to GB/T 2585 and applicable enterprise technical specifications.
Installation & Maintenance Guidelines
Installation options:
Ballasted track: sleepers + fastenings + ballast (recommended sleeper spacing 600–800 mm, adjustable by load and usage frequency).
Ballastless/concrete foundation: elastic fastenings + concrete base where higher stability or vibration control is required.
Maintenance recommendations:
Regular checks for gauge deviation, ballast settlement and railhead wear;
For 55Q rails, consider quarterly railhead lubrication (adjust frequency based on operating conditions);
Keep track clear and ensure drainage; repair local cracks and plastic deformations promptly;
Schedule NDT inspections annually or after reaching specified operational mileage.
