QU70 Crane Rail
U71Mn high-carbon steel · Tensile ≥ 880 MPa · Low profile (120 mm) · Wear resistant & dimensionally stable · Easy to install
Overview
QU70 is a purpose-built crane rail for medium-load lifting equipment.
With a compact height of 120 mm, a 70 mm wide head and 28 mm web thickness, the optimized cross-section delivers excellent bending resistance and load distribution for stable, low-vibration operation.
QU70 is ideal for bridge cranes, gantry cranes and heavy handling equipment used in factories, ports, logistics centers and construction sites.
“QU” denotes crane rail; “70” indicates the 70 mm head width per Chinese crane-rail standards.

Typical Applications
Manufacturing plants: Bridge cranes for shop floor material handling.
Ports & terminals: Light-duty gantry cranes for container/ cargo handling.
Rail freight yards: Heavy-duty transfer cranes.
Warehouses & logistics centers: Stackers and heavy conveyors.
Hydropower & construction sites: Mobile and project cranes.
Ideal use case: Medium-load lifting (10–30 tons) where stability, durability and compact installation height matter.
Key Features
Optimized load-bearing geometry: Low profile saves installation space; wide head and thick web distribute load evenly to minimize deformation.
High wear resistance: U71Mn material provides high tensile strength and long service life under abrasive conditions.
Stable, smooth operation: Wider base improves contact with foundation to reduce vibration and noise.
Easy installation & compatibility: Standard lengths reduce on-site welding; compatible with common QU70 clips and fasteners.
Outdoor options available: Hot-dip galvanizing or anti-rust painting for extended outdoor service life.
Installation & Fastening Recommendations
Recommended fasteners
Rail clips: QU70-specific clips (suggested Q235 / Q345 cast or forged steel)
Bolts: Grade 8.8 high-strength bolts
Base plates: Anti-slip base plates, thickness ≥ 16 mm
Installation notes
Rail joints: Recommend 45° bevel joints for smooth wheel transition; joint gap = 10 mm (temperature compensation).
Foundation: Flatness tolerance ≤ 3 mm/m; ensure full rail-to-foundation contact.
Alignment tolerances: Horizontal deviation ≤ 2 mm; vertical deviation ≤ 1 mm.
Maintenance: Check and tighten bolts/clips every 3 months under heavy-use conditions.
FAQs
Q:Do you provide installation guidance?
A:Yes. We supply detailed installation manuals, 24/7 technical support and on-site assistance for bulk orders (optional).
Q:How does QU70 Rail differ from standard railway rails?
A:QU70 Rail is engineered for crane service—wider head and thicker web to support vertical loads and lateral crane forces. Railway rails focus on train guidance and lateral stability, which is a different design priority.
Q: What inspections are performed before shipment?
A:Each batch undergoes dimensional checks, chemical composition analysis, tensile testing and hardness measurement. MTR is provided with shipments.
