ASCE 25 Rail
Product Overview
ASCE 25 is a light-duty tee-section rail traditionally used for industrial tracks, mining tramways, crane runways and temporary track applications. The designation “25” denotes the nominal mass of 25 lb per yard (≈ 12.4 kg/m). This profile features a T-shaped (flat-bottom) section where rail height equals the base width, enabling simple bedding and fastening solutions for light-load systems.
Materials
Materials offered
We offer ASCE25 rails in the following steel grade as a standard option: 55Q. Other customer-specified grades can be supplied upon request and subject to feasibility and minimum order quantity.
Recommended application
For mining and abrasive service where enhanced strength and wear resistance are required, we recommend 55Q. Selection of the final grade should be based on the service conditions (axle loads, abrasion, impact, operating temperature, and maintenance intervals).
